![]() The crazy golf venue will boast over 23,000 square feet of space spanning two floors and will feature three nine-hole crazy-golf courses, a stunning 750-square-foot patio, multiple cocktail bars and a gourmet street food offering. The new venue will be located in the heart of D.C.’s bustling Ballpark District, Navy. And what made this even more enjoyable was how you can order drinks at any point during your game to liven things up and make the mini golfing more spicy.Īlongside the locations in London, Dupont Circle, and New York City, Swingers is opening its doors to Washington D.C. Each course has 9 holes to play and par is usually between 2-5 swings. And while you indulge in the food and drink options, there are three different courses you can select from. This past month was the ‘In The Swing of Things’ made with Jim Bean Bourbon, Aperol, and lemon juice. And Swingers has a massive drink and cocktail selection where you have the choice of classic cocktails, spirits on the rocks, and even their cocktail of the month. For food, Swingers offers everything from pizza to tacos and even has some delicious desserts like their warm and pillowy doughnut holes. ![]() At Swingers NoMad there are multiple cocktail lounges, a food hall full of delicious street food, and 3 distinct mini golf courses you can play through. What makes Swingers NoMad so impressive is that it isn’t your traditional mini golf venue. Walking into Swingers NoMad felt like you were entering the rabbit hole in ‘Alice in Wonderland’ with the ways it was decorated and set up. The entire layout of the venue featured foliage, flowers, and beautiful neon lights. As soon as we walked down the steps, we were greeted with clock towers, windmills, and so much more. Swingers NoMad opened in June 2022 and is an underground mini golfing venue that has some of the most intricate and impressive mini golf courses we have seen. However, we recently checked out New York’s latest mini golf addition, Swingers. And those of us that live in New York City recognize that there are only a handful of venues to play at with most of them being outside too. One of life’s simplest pleasures is mini golf. Details like the repurposed wood beams wrapped in Edison bulbs meshed the two design elements together.Playing mini golf while drinking a cocktail is one of the best combos we have tried Cedar finishes to both the interior and exterior added a rustic element, fitting for a restaurant that specialized in wood-fired pizzas. The 1,000 square foot restaurant brings in a ton of natural light with its large glass garage doors, which roll up and connect to 980 square foot landscaped outside space. Manual, roll-up garage doors and large glass windows replaced the existing doors on each side, and a retractable awning was added over the patio. The existing lot required substantial renovations to both the interior and exterior. Completed in 2016, Nomad Pizza highlights the building’s past life while adding custom finishes that mix both industrial and rustic aesthetics. Elrath Construction worked alongside JZA+D architects (exterior), Steven Cohen, AIA of Princeton, NJ (interior), and Groundswell Design Group to transform the service station into a unique restaurant space. Nomad Pizza, located in Princeton Shopping Center, was previously an Amoco gas station that sat vacant for years.
